PURPOSE: A drug composition containing strontium salt, vitamin D, and cyclodextrin is provided to treat osteropenia and osteoporosis. CONSTITUTION: A drug composition contains strontium salt and vitamin D as an active ingredient, cyclodextrin as an excipient, and one or more non-active, non-toxic, and pharmaceutically acceptable other exicipients or carriers. The vitamin D is cholecalciferol(vitamin D3). The cyclodextirn is substituted beta-cyclodextrin. The drug composition is manufactured in the form of chewing tablet, swallowable tablet, efferverscent tablet, dispersible tablet, or sachet granule.
