<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode electrolyte for a polymer electrolyte fuel cell, which solves a cost problem, has a proton conductivity and a dimensional stability, and moreover has a hot-water resistance and a thermal resistance excellent even at high temperature. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode electrolyte for a polymer electrolyte fuel cell contains a polyarylene-based copolymer as shown in general formula (1). In formula (1), E shows each independently one structure consisting of a direct bond, -O-, -S-, -CO-, -SO<SB>2</SB>-, -SO-, -CONH-, -COO- group, and Ar<SP>31</SP>, Ar<SP>32</SP>, Ar<SP>33</SP>show each independently a bivalent or trivalent organic group having a benzene ring, a naphthalene ring or a nitrogen containing heterocycle, or an organic group of these in which a part or a whole of hydrogen atoms are substituted by fluorine atoms. R<SP>31</SP>shows at least one structure selected from a group of a direct bond, -O(CH<SB>2</SB>)<SB>p</SB>-, -O(CF<SB>2</SB>)<SB>p</SB>-, -(CH<SB>2</SB>)<SB>p</SB>-, -(CF<SB>2</SB>)<SB>p</SB>-. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
