<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem with an electric power supply system for a vehicle, wherein transmission characteristics of the system are unstable for displacement in right and left directions of the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A power transmitting antenna 105 arranged on the roadside resonates with a power receiving antenna 107 arranged at the bottom of the vehicle 101 at substantially the same resonant frequency, thereby producing magnetic coupling between them. When the power receiving antenna 107 enters the zone in which the power transmitting antenna 105 is located, power is transmitted. By setting a distance H between the power transmitting and receiving antennas facing each other satisfy 0.11×W1≤H≤0.26×W1 with respect to the power transmitting antenna area width W1, the stable transmission characteristics can be obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
