<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing with a seal, which prevents the intrusion of foreign matter into the bearing and sufficiently reduces seal torque regardless of the shape of a seal member. <P>SOLUTION: The bearing with the seal includes an inner ring 1, an outer ring 2, rolling elements 3 and the seal member 5. The seal member 5 includes an annular core metal 6 and an elastic member 7 integrally stuck to the core metal 6. The seal member 5, with its base end fixed to the outer ring 2, is of a contact seal and with its seal lip part 5a having an axial lip part 5aa axially contacted to the inner surface of a seal groove 9 formed in the inner ring 1. The material of at least the tip of the axial lip part 5aa is a high wear material worn using the bearing in a rotating state to become a non-contact seal or to come in light contact to the extent that contact pressure can be considered zero. Moreover, the diameterϕd of the center of radial thickness at the root of the axial lip part 5a is not less than 0.92 times the inner diameterϕds of the core metal 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
