PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve transportation work efficiency and assembly work efficiency, while keeping a necessary and minimum outer shape. SOLUTION: A holding part 180 is provided by forming a caved-in groove on a housing 100 of this optical scanning device 41. In this case, a plurality of optical members or the like are mounted tightly in the housing 100 of the optical scanning device 41. The holding part is caved in toward a dead space in the housing 100 without changing the mounting state of existing optical members or the like, and arranged on the uppermost part and a corner part of the obliquely-arranged optical scanning device 41.
