PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-alcoholic Japanese plum brandy-like Japanese plum extract without decay even after a long term storage. SOLUTION: Fruits of Japanese plum and crystal sugar are immersed in a solution optionally matured for one or more months of an optionally boiled or steamed aqueous extract of living leaves of Spiraea thunbergii or Spiraea cantoniensis, a squeezed solution of living leaves of Spiraea thunbergii or Spiraea cantoniensis, or a supernatant or a squeezed solution obtained by crushing the living leaves of Spiraea thunbergii or Spiraea cantoniensis with a crushing machine together with water to give the Japanese plum brandy-like Japanese plum extract.
