PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tensioner device, in which a piston rod is extended from a body having a damper mechanism therein, for pressing a chain wound around both sprockets or a pulley of a general machine, or a span of a belt. SOLUTION: The body 2 is attached to a bracket 1 which can be fixed to a machine device, a slider 4 is attached to a tip of a piston rod 3, guide rails 5, 5 for sliding the slider 4 are disposed to the bracket 1, and the sprocket 6 or the pulley is rotatably attached to the slider 4.
