METHOD FOR TREATING WASTEWATER USING MEMBRANE COUPLED FLUIDIZED-BED SEQUENCING BATCH REACTOR

PURPOSE: A method for processing waste water using a membrane-coupled fluidized-bed sequencing bath reactor is provided to reduce the fouling of separating membrane by circulating fluidizing media and activated sludge. CONSTITUTION: Raw water is supplied from a raw water tank into a membrane-coupled fluidized-bed sequencing bath reactor(100). The upward current of air bubbles is generated between a submerged separating membrane module(102) and a baffle plate(104) through an air diffuser(103). Activated sludge and fluidizing media(105) are circulated in the reactor along the upward current. A nitrification process and an organic oxidizing process are implemented using aerobic microorganism. Organic components and nutrient salts are eliminated from the raw water by the submerged separating membrane module.
