<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform a user of the degree of saving achieved by economical operation. <P>SOLUTION: The washing machine includes: an input setting means 22 for setting the content of operation; a stain detecting means 10 for detecting stain on the laundry; an operation monitor 27 for displaying the degree of economical operation; a storing means 28 for storing the state of the operation; a control means 30 for sequentially controlling respective steps; and a power switch 31 for turning on/off the power supply for the control means 30. A first content of operation set by the input setting means 22 and a second content of operation based on the stain detected by the stain detecting means 10 are stored in the storing means 28. If the second content of operation is less than the fist content of operation, the state of the last operation is displayed in the operation monitor 27 when the power is fed by the next operation of the power switch 31. As a result, it is possible to enhance such convenience that relationships of the quantity of the laundry and degree of stain on the laundry to the possibility of economical operation contributing to the energy saving can be easily felt by the user. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
