<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further reduce: the width size of a toner storage container that has the function of displacing projecting parts used to restrict the movements of cover members, such as shutters, when a toner storage part is pulled out; and the width size of the part in which the toner storage container is loaded. <P>SOLUTION: A first retracting part 357A and a second retracting part 357B are provided in a groove 356 for pressing a first projection provided on a storage part side and for retracting the first projection from the movement path of a toner cartridge 200Y. In addition, a third retracting part 357C is provided in the groove 356 for pressing a second projection provided on the storage part side and for retracting the second projection from the movement path of the toner cartridge 200Y. The second retracting part 357B is provided between the external surface of a base substance 330 and the movement path of a first shutter 310.
