<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology by which the location status of a three-dimensional object near a vehicle is notified so as to be more easily understood by the driver, since, in a vehicle-mounted device, there is the conventional technology for displaying the surrounding of the vehicle as an image, detecting presence of an obstacle by a corner sensor or the like, and displaying the detection of the obstacle detected by the corner sensor on the image of the area surrounding the vehicle, however, in that technology, the presence of the obstacle in the vicinity can be indicated, but it is difficult for the driver to image the specific shape of the obstacle. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle surrounding display device captures the image of the area surrounding the vehicle 300, detects the heights of three-dimensional objects existing around the vehicle, and when the height of a three-dimensional object is dangerous for the vehicle, the dangerous obstacle included in the image is indicated characteristically. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
