<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which can reduce occurrence of malfunction based on an input from a touchpad. <P>SOLUTION: The portable terminal includes the touchpad which outputs a value indicating a degree of contact upon detection of contact, holds a first threshold for determining a target range in which processing to be executed is assigned and a second threshold that is less than the first threshold, calculates a value indicating a degree of the contact of the range for each range wherein the contact on the touchpad is detected on the basis of a value indicating the degree of the contact output from the touchpad, determines whether there are two ranges that are not mutually adjacent and where the calculated values are greater than or equal to the second threshold among the ranges where the contact is detected on the touchpad, decides one range wherein the calculated value is greater than or equal to the first threshold as the target range if a negative determination is made, and does not decide the target range if a positive determination is made. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
