PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compounds and pharmaceutical compositions containing such compounds, which modulate the activity of 5-lipoxygenase-activating protein (FLAP), and also to provide methods of using such FLAP modulators, alone and in combination with other compounds, for treating respiratory, cardiovascular, and other leukotriene-dependent or leukotriene-mediated conditions or diseases. SOLUTION: There are provided pharmaceutical compositions containing the compounds represented by chemical formula 1 (wherein each symbol is defined in specification) or salts thereof acceptable as medical drugs, or solvates acceptable as medical drugs, and excipients acceptable as medical drugs.
