PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial lawn which can form and maintain a granular material layer installed between lawn leaves, into a uniform thickness. SOLUTION: First lawn leaves and second lawn leaves implanted so that their top is lower than that of the first lawn leaves are installed. The second lawn leaves are implanted in a straight form having a uniform length, and a granular material is filled up to the top of the second lawn leaves to form the granular material layer. As the second lawn leaves are implanted in a straight form having a uniform length, the height from a foundation cloth to the top of the second lawn leaves is formed uniformly over the entire artificial lawn. As the granular material layer is formed by filling the granular material up to the top of the second lawn leaves, the thickness of the granular material layer is formed uniformly. As the granular material layer is formed up to the top of the second lawn leaves implanted in a straight form, the second lawn leaves inhibit movement of the granular material composing the granular material layer to inhibit a change in the thickness of the granular material layer in the process using the artificial lawn.
