PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current collector capable of reducing electric resistance at a jointing interface and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The current collector is provided with a pair of current collector foils and at least either one of the pair of current collector foils has a recessed portion, and a part of the other current collector foil is arranged at the recessed portion to connect the pair of current collector foils. The manufacturing method of the current collector comprises a preparation process to prepare a pair of current collector foils in which a recessed portion is provided in at least one of the current collector foil, a contact process in which the pair of current collector foils prepared in the preparation process are contacted, and a connection process in which a part of the current collector foil opposed to the recessed portion out of the pair of current collector foils which are contacted in the contact process is melted, and a part of the current collector foil melted is made to flow to the recessed portion, and then, the pair of current collector foils are connected.
