<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maximize the capacity of a battery by eliminating unnecessary spaces generated in a sealing portion of an outer packaging case for housing an electrode assembly in a high capacity battery. <P>SOLUTION: A lithium polymer secondary battery includes: an electrode assembly containing a first electrode, a second electrode, and a separator interposed between the first electrode and the second electrode; an outer packaging material enclosing the outside of the electrode assembly; and a first cover and a second cover for sealing the outer packaging material.
