<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy saving type method of treating pickled plum production waste water with a simple treatment operation without causing a large quantity of sludge. <P>SOLUTION: The method of treating the pickled plum production waste water includes: a step of separating the pickled plum production waste water into a liquid material and residue by a heat pump type vacuum distillation apparatus; a step of neutralizing the separated liquid material; a step of injecting microbubbles of ozone into the neutralized liquid material; and a step of treating the resultant liquid material with activated carbon.
