PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for more accurate detection of the rotation angle of a rotor. SOLUTION: An ECU for calculating the rotation angle of a rotor recognizes a phase differenceΔT between detection timing of a first sensor and detection timing of a second sensor, calculates detection anglesθA andθB, namely, the angles when the first and second sensors detect the detection angles of the first or second follower gear, based on the detection results of the first and second sensors (S501); corrects the calculated rotation angle of one of the first or second follower gears, based on the phase differenceΔT (S504), and computes a rotation angleϕof the rotor, based on the corrected rotation angle of one of a follower gear or the detection rotation angle of the other follower gear calculated in S501 (S508).
