PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jamb of an elevator, which is easily manufactured. SOLUTION: A vertical frame 5 includes a vertical frame body 9 having a vertical frame surface plate part 11 and a vertical frame locking part 12 provided to the rear surface of the vertical frame surface plate part 11 and a vertical frame reinforcing member 10 having a rear plate part 14 for vertical frame reinforcement provided to the rear surface of the vertical frame surface plate part 11. An upper frame 6 includes an upper frame body 19 having an upper frame surface plate part 21 and an upper frame locking part 22 provided to the rear surface of the upper frame surface plate part 21 and an upper frame reinforcing member 20 having a rear plate part 24 for upper frame reinforcement provided to the rear surface of the upper frame surface plate part 21. The rear plate part 24 for upper frame reinforcement includes a projection 24a projecting further in the direction of the frontage of an elevator entrance 1 than the upper frame surface plate part 21. The upper frame 6 is attached to the vertical frame 5 while the projection 24a is brought into contact with the rear surface of the vertical frame surface plate part 11, the projection 24a is engaged with the vertical frame locking part 12 in the height direction of the elevator entrance 1, and the upper frame locking part 22 is engaged with the vertical frame locking part 12 in the direction of the frontage of the elevator entrance 1.
