PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of saving useless power consumption while the image forming apparatus is powered on. SOLUTION: Just before turning off an image forming apparatus 1, identification information of a screen for setting and supporting processing executed finally is stored in a nonvolatile memory of a control unit 11. When the image forming apparatus 1 is turned on, at least one functional section required for executing the processing of the screen stored in the nonvolatile memory is determined from the identification information of the screen, and this functional section is activated.
