PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently provide a (meth)acrylic polymer particle that has a good powder fluidity and forms a high quality molding, a skin material and a coating film excellent in texture, appearance, etc. SOLUTION: In a process for producing polymer particles comprising blowing steam directly into a liquid mixture of a polymer solution containing an organic acid, an organic solvent, and a (meth)acrylic polymer, a dispersant, and water to remove the organic solvent from the polymer solution by steam stripping, the process for producing the spherical (meth)acrylic polymer particles is characterized in that a salt is present in the water.
