PURPOSE: A food composition for preventing obesity containing a tomato whole-plant extract is provided to cure a fatty liver, and to prevent high blood pressure and diabetes. CONSTITUTION: A food composition for preventing obesity contains a tomato whole-plant extract as an active ingredient. The tomato whole-plant extract is obtained by the following steps: dipping 1kg of the whole plant of tomato into 5L of 50% ethanol, for extracting at 50deg C for 10hours; removing extraction residues; and compress-concentrating the obtained extract for removing an extraction solvent to obtain the solid tomato whole-plant extract.
