PURPOSE: A drill for drilling a rail is provided to increase working convenience since in a state the rail stands, a tapering work is performed on both ends of a connecting hole. CONSTITUTION: A drill for drilling a rail comprises a shank unit(10), a drill unit(20) and a taper chamfering unit. The shank unit is mounted on a drilling machine. The drill unit is protruded from the leading end of the shank unit. The drill unit forms a through-hole on the body of the rail. The taper chamfering unit is tapered on the connecting part of the drill unit and the shank unit. The taper chamfering unit tapers the hole formed by the drill unit.
