The connecting rod latch has a lock bar (6) driven into a locked position from an open position by an opening of a cabin (2), a clamping element (3), an activator (5) which displaces the clamping element from a clamping position into release position during a displacement of a standby-position into a release position so that the lock bar can be driven into the closed position. The clamping element is a bolt pivoting around a pivot axis (4) positioned perpendicular to the displacement direction of the lock bar.
