STRUCTURE FOR RESISTOR REDUCTION OF DRILLSHIP MOONPOOL

PURPOSE: A structure for resistance reduction of a drillship moonpool is provided to form a plurality of concave resistance reduction parts on the bottom of a stem to minimize ship resistance increase, speed reduction and increase of fuel consumption due to the moonpool. CONSTITUTION: A structure for resistance reduction of a drillship moonpool comprises a moon pool(110) and a resistance reduction part(120). The moonpool limits a path between a deck(102) of the drillship and the bottom of the sea. The resistance reduction part is formed in a concave form on the bottom floor of a stem(104) of the drillship. The resistance reduction part perturbs fluid flux before the moonpool. The resistance reduction part restrains sloshing motion according to the disturbed fluid flux to reduce resistance due to the moonpool.
