The switchgear has a housing (1) and an electronic unit that is provided on a printed circuit board, where the printed circuit board is connected with a connection cable (3). Free strand ends of the connection cable are guided through an additional printed circuit board element and soldered with an additional printed circuit board element. The additional printed circuit board element is arranged perpendicular to the electronic unit on the printed circuit board. The electronic unit on the printed circuit board includes reciprocal soldering points for the connection cable that is molded. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a connection between a connection cable and a printed circuit board.
