PURPOSE: A wire-cut electric discharge machine and an electric discharge machining method are provided to remove the deviation of a machining result by correcting machining properties depending on the machining result. CONSTITUTION: A wire-cut electric discharge machine comprises a machining result input unit and a first correction coefficient calculation unit. The dimension information of a workpiece is inputted to the machining result input unit after machining. The first correction coefficient calculation unit calculates a correction coefficient for correcting average correction gap voltage depending on the inputted dimension information of the workpiece. The relative transfer speed of a wire electrode to the workpiece is controlled based on the calculated correction coefficient and the average correction gap voltage.
