PURPOSE: A composition containing Lithocarpus dealbatus Hook. f. et Thomas. extract for preventing or treating obesity, hyperlipidemia, and metabolic syndrome is provided to suppress pancreatic lipase action. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating obesity contains Quercus dealbatus Hook. f. et Thomas. extract as an active ingredient. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating hyperlipidemia and metabolic syndrome contains Quercus dealbatus Hook. f. et Thomas. extract as an active ingredient. The Quercus dealbatus Hook. f. et Thomas. extract is isolated using water, alcohol of C1-1C4, or mixture solvent thereof.
