The instrument (10) has an operating part (20) guided at a shaft, and a pivotable handle branch arranged at a base part. The branch is pivotably supported in an opening (24) of the base part for actuating the operating part by a pivot pin (28) engaged in a passage opening in the handle branch. The pivot pin is axially completely lifted out from the branch for separating the branch from the operating part. The pin is undetachably held at the base part, and the branch is undetachably held in a position at the base part, where the position is separated from the operating part.
