CHANNEL ASSIGNMENT METHOD IN A MULTI-CHANNEL TDMA MAC PROTOCOL OVER WIRELESS MESH NETWORKS

PURPOSE: A channel allocation method in a wireless mesh network base multichannel TDMA MAC protocol is provided to reduce channel switching penalty by reusing a channel that is used in previous link and to efficiently reduce delay through multi-hop. CONSTITUTION: If an available channel list is not vacated, one channel in the available channel list is allocated as a linked channel(S26). If the available channel list is vacated, a channel in which the channel link priority is low is allocated to the linked channel(S25). The allocated channel is removed on an available channel list for second conflict links.
