PURPOSE: A gate valve cooling device of an ingot growing apparatus is provided to prevent the thermal deformation of the gate valve by including an eddy type water cooling chamber. CONSTITUTION: Upper and lower plats of a gate valve have a shaft rod. An eddy type water cooling chamber(45) and a separating unit(46) are formed on the lower plate. The upper plate is welded with the eddy type water cooling chamber and the separating unit to maintain a watertight property. A feeder(41) is formed on the edge of the upper plate. A drain(44) is formed in the center of the upper plate. An outlet(42) is formed on the edge of the other side of the upper plate. A connection path connects the drain and the outlet.
