PURPOSE: A light absorption type particle measurement apparatus is provided to measure the size and number of particles in the whole sections along the path of collimated light beams that pass through a measurement chamber. CONSTITUTION: A light absorption type particle measurement apparatus, which measures the distribution of particles moving in a measurement chamber(C) from the amount of light absorbed by the particles, comprises a light generating unit(200) and a light detecting unit(300). The light generating unit generates collimated light beams that pass through the measurement chamber parallely. The light detecting unit receives and detects the light beams passing through the measurement chamber.
