PURPOSE: A novel strain, Lactobacillus casei CU2604 which is used for manufacturing fermented milk is provided to ensure bile tolerance and pH resistance and to suppress growth of pathogenic germ. CONSTITUTION: A novel Lactobacillus casei CU2604(KCCM 11035P) is used for manufacturing fermented milk. The strain has excellent bile tolerance and ph resistance. The strain effectively suppresses pathogenic germ growth. The novel strain is isolated from adult feces. The fermented milk contains the strain and milk fermentation which is fermented by the strain.
