Coating composition for applying to dicotyledonous plant structure, such as seeds and bulbs, wherein the said coating composition comprises one or more organic materials having a melting point of greater than or equal to 50°Centigrade and one or more biological agents that possess an activity against at least one or more pathogens of a dicotyledonous ornamental plant. The organic material is a wax, preferably carnauba wax particles. The particles have a volume mean diameter ⠥5µm, such as in the range ⠥10µm to 200µm. The additives include Trichoderma sp.¸ thiamethoxam, Bacillus subtilis and feranimol. The exemplified dicotyledonous ornamental plant seeds are Petunia, Verbena and cyclamen.
