PURPOSE: An unfolding device for a solar panel is provided to freely control the solar panel with a desired rotary force using restoration force according to elasticity of a spiral spring. CONSTITUTION: An unfolding device(100) for a solar panel comprises a first panel(110), a second panel(120), a rotary means(130), and a ratchet means(150). A cylindrical housing(111) is installed at one side of the first panel and the solar panel is fixed to the housing. The second panel has a first cylindrical housing(121) and a second cylindrical housing(122). The second panel is fixed to the body of an artificial satellite. The rotary means is installed in the cylindrical housing and the first and second cylindrical housings. The rotary means rotates the first panel. The first panel is folded and unfolded in a state having rotary force for the second panel according to the rotary means. The ratchet means fixes the first panel to the second panel when the first panel is completely spread with the rotary means.
