One protecting plate separating apparatus is provided, which is used to separate protecting plate from the conveyed glass plate before reaching the processing location. One conveying belt is configured in the upstream of the processing location to convey the glass plate borne on the protecting plate to the processing location, the conveying direction of the conveying belt is changed from horizontal direction to downward direction in the downstream of the processing location, and in at least the conveying direction changing location, negative pressure suction force is generated in the conveyingbelt. The protecting plate separating apparatus has proper separation of the protecting plate, saving in operating time, high operation accuracy, no damage to the glass plate and no contamination tothe glass plate. |
