According to the invention, a heatable subsequent heating segment (7) is arranged between the outlet of the humidifier chamber (2) and the respiratory gas outlet (6), wherein at least one temperature/humidity sensor (8.1, 8.2) is placed in or after the subsequent heating segment (7), wherein said temperature/humidity sensor is supplemented to form a humidity control loop in connection with the control and regulation apparatus (1), the humidifier chamber (2), and the heating element (3). |
