PURPOSE: A night view system and a control method thereof are provided to transmit an alarm signal to a driver by determining the position of a pedestrian based on the progress direction of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: In a night view system and a control method thereof, an infrared lamp(32) radiates near infrared ray from a vehicle. The infrared camera(33) takes a picture of the near infrared ray emitting from the infrared lamp. A controller(10) distinguish a pedestrian from the image obtained from the infrared camera. The controller determines an alarm region in which the pedestrian is included from a plurality of alarm regions according to the degree of danger An alarm unit(20) alarms according to the warn signal of the controller.
