CONTROLLING METHOD FOR SECONDARY BATTERY

PURPOSE: A method for controlling a secondary battery is provided to adjust current of a battery pack and to increase an available time by adjusting an operation of a switching element. CONSTITUTION: A first current value is measured by sampling the current discharged from a secondary battery in a constant time interval. The first current value is compared with a maximum load current value set through a control unit of the secondary battery. A switch of the secondary battery is turned on or off according to the first current value. A second load current condition is determined by comparing a second current value of a switch driving step is compared with the first current value.
