<p>The method involves generating a boost ramp signal including a buck ramp signal offset by a peak value of a buck ramp signal, and determining whether a voltage compensation signal exceeds the peak value. A boost pulse width modulation (PWM) drive signal or a buck PWM drive signal is generated in response to the boost ramp signal and the voltage compensation signal that exceeds or does not exceeds the peak value. A voltage regulator is operated in response to the boost PWM drive signal and the buck PWM drive signal. An independent claim is also included for a voltage regulator comprising a circuitry for generating an output voltage responsive to an input voltage and a set of switching control signals.</p> |
