The method involves connecting a chip module, chip and/or electric or electronic component with an antenna (3), and producing two sections (4, 5) of the antenna on a front side surface and a rear side surface of a substrate, respectively. Two electrically conductive attachment surface pairs are produced at the substrate surfaces for connecting the chip module, chip and/or the component. Attachment surfaces (8, 9) of one of the pairs arranged at the front side surface are different from attachment surfaces (11, 12) of the other pair arranged at the rear side surface. An independent claim is also included for a device comprising an antenna arranged at a substrate.
