<p>PURPOSE: A brake pedal unit with a variable pedal ratio is provided to improve the braking performance without a break booster because a pedal ratio between brake pedals that are operated by a driver through hinged links can be changed. CONSTITUTION: A brake pedal unit with a variable pedal ratio comprises a mounting block(10), a sliding link(20), an elastic member(30), a brake pedal arm(40), and a connection link(50). The mounting block is installed under an inner cowl panel in a vehicle and has a guide hole(11). The sliding link is coupled to the guide hole of the mounting block via a connection rod(21) which is inserted and slid in the guide hole. The elastic member is interposed between the guide hole and the connection rod to provide a restoring force to the sliding link. The brake pedal arm is connected to the mounting block by a pedal hinge shaft. The connection link connects the sliding link and the brake pedal arm.</p> |
