<p>The present invention relates to a microprocessor-controlled timer adapted to control mains power supply comprising a temperature sensor, wherein said temperature sensor is adapted to detect ambient temperature and that said timer comprises a control device, which is adapted to activate mains power supply in dependence upon temperature indicated by the temperature sensor. Furthermore, the invention includes a method for heating a motor of a motor vehicle and the use of such a timer for regulating withdrawal of electricity from a block heater post.</p> |
