PURPOSE: A drain box with an oil and water separating function is provided to separate water, firefighting water, seawater and waste water in a drain body main body using density difference of water and oil in advance to thereby directly discharge water, firefighting water and seawater including no oil to the sea. CONSTITUTION: A drain box with an oil and water separating function is composed of a main body(10), an overflow drain nozzle(20), a sewage drain nozzle(30), a hydraulic seal trap(31). A cover plate(11) having a drain hole is installed on the top of the main body such that the cover plate is opened and closed. A hatch(12) for maintenance and repairing is installed on the bottom surface of one side of the main body. A sewage storage(13) is installed on the bottom surface of the other side of the main body. The overflow drain nozzle penetrates the floor of the sewage storage. The overflow drain nozzle directly discharges rainwater or seawater which is not mixed with oil to the sea. The sewage drain nozzle discharges sewage mixed with oil to a slop tank. The hydraulic seal trap is detachably attached to the sewage drain nozzle. The hydraulic seal trap prevents inflow of gas flowing backward from a drain line. |
