PURPOSE: A light emitting diode device is provided to supply polarized light without a polarization plate by forming metal nano particles on the upper side of a light emitting structure. CONSTITUTION: A light emitting structure(20) includes a first conductive semiconductor layer(21), an active layer(22), and a second conductive semiconductor layer(23) which are successively formed on a substrate. The plurality of metal nano particles(30) are formed on the upper side of the light emitting structure and polarize the light from the active layer. The metal nano particles are elliptical. A fluorescent layer is formed on the upper side of the light emitting structure to cover the metal nano particles.
