The device has a conduit traversing a frame (7) between a front face (7av) and a rear face (7ar). Wheels are rotatably mounted on the frame around a longitudinal central axis (X), and guided via peripheral edges of the wheels by supporting and guiding rollers. Each of the frame, the conduit and the wheels is constituted of movable parts that are movable with respect to each other to provide a passage transverse to the longitudinal central axis between the front face and the rear face for transversely extracting an elongated object from the device.
