PURPOSE: A polymorphic marker for predicting stroke and a method for predicting stroke using the same are provided to predict stroke risk and treat stroke. CONSTITUTION: A kit for predicting stroke risk contains a primer pair having a polynucleotide and complementary polynucleotide thereof. The kit additionally contains fluorescent substance and reagent. A method for predicting stroke risk comprises: a step of isolating genome DNA from a blood sample of a test person; a step of confirming the polynucleotide base of sequence numbers 1 and 3 in the genome DNA; and a step of determining as stroke risk in case that 17th base of a polynucleotide of sequence number 1 is C and 27th base of a polynucleotide of sequence number 2 is A.
