PURPOSE: A green phosphor for a plasma display panel is provided to ensure short afterglow time and an excellent color reproduction property, thereby enabling use for a plasma display panel for embodying 3D stereoscopic images. CONSTITUTION: A green phosphor for a plasma display panel includes: a first phosphor of YAl_5O_12: Ce; and a second phosphor of represented by chemical formula 1: Zn_(1-x)Mg_x(Ga_(1-y)Al_y)_2O_4:Mn. In chemical formula 1, 0 <= x < 1 and 0 <= y < 1. The mixing ratio of the first and second phosphors is 70 : 30-40 : 60. The second phosphor is ZnGa_2O_4:Mn.
