PURPOSE: A distance measurement apparatus and system based on two-way ranging is provided to omit a high-speed ADC(Analog Digital Converter) in a peak detecting process by using an analog correlator bank. CONSTITUTION: A distance measurement system based on two-way ranging comprises a first device and a second device. The first device periodically transmits a first pulse stream. The second device detects a peak of a received pulse corresponding to the first pulse stream and the second pulse stream synchronized with the detected peak. A distance measurement apparatus based on two-way ranging base comprises a pulse generation unit, a pulse transmission unit, a pulse reception unit, and a distance measurement unit. The pulse generation unit generates the first pulse stream. The pulse transmission unit transmits the first pulse stream. The pulse reception unit receives the pulse corresponding to the second pulse stream. The distance measurement unit detects the peak of the reception peak and corresponding to the second pulse stream and the distance from the other device.
