PURPOSE: A microbial fuel cell is provided to reduce the costs by replacing an inexpensive electrode material with stainless steel and to improve the electric energy generation amount by contacting the separator and electrode. CONSTITUTION: A microbial fuel cell(100) includes: a negative electrode part(110) including a first chamber(111) and a first electrode(112), wherein the first chamber generates electrons and hydrogen ions by anaerobically treating wastewater and the first electrode houses electronics; a positive electrode part(120) including a second chamber(121) discharging the anaerobically treated wastewater and a second electrode(122) housing hydrogen ions; and a separator(130) which is arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode, insulates the first electrode and the second electrode, and has a plurality of holes.
